Do I need to install any software with PurchaseControl?
No. PurchaseControl.com does not require any installation. It is a Web based product (like Amazon.com) and just needs a browser to access it. There are no special hardware requirements other than a computer with an internet connection and a Web Browser.


How long does it take to get set up?
It takes about a day to bulk upload your supplier data to your PurchaseControl.com database.


Do I need to have IT knowledge to use or set up PurchaseControl.com?
No. You don't need to know anything about IT or Computers (other than how to use a Web Browser) to use PurchaseControl.


Can I set up the Rules and Budgets myself
Yes. A member of the PurchaseControl.com support team will guide you through the set up process and provide ongoing support. This is included in licence price.


Is there any software to install on computer equipment?
No. PurchaseControl uses no extra add-ons, plug-ins or Java applets. Staff can use their existing computer and Web Browser.


How much training do I need to use PurchaseControl.com?
PurchaseControl has been designed to be very intuitive while still allowing a great deal of customization. Everything is point-and-click using your mouse. Typically administrators become familiar with the system with approximately one hour of one-to-one online training. If required we provide end-user webinar training but this is rarely requested.


Do I need to be technical to administer PurchaseControl.com?
No. PurchaseControl is point-and-click, with a built-in help and FAQ system and ongoing telephone support.


How much does setup and training cost?
Nothing at all. PurchaseControl includes setup and training as part of the licence fee.


What support do I get and how much does it cost?
PurchaseControl provides permanent ongoing telephone and email support to its client administrators. The good news is that it is included in the purchase price. There are no hidden extras.


Can I decide who gets what budget?
Yes. With PurchaseControl.com you can set budgets for users by transaction, by month and they are also subject to departmental budgets.


Can I decide who gets email notifications?
Yes. The administrator can set up rules about who gets email notifications.


Can I decide if a user can requisition but not order?
Yes. PurchaseControl.com allows you to set up users only to requisition an item. If so they are then required to forward it for approval to someone who is permitted to purchase.


Can PurchaseControl.com track and archive my POs?
Yes. PurchaseControl has a built in Audit Trail which tracks every action connected to a purchase order. The administrator can set permissions to search or track active or completed purchase orders by individual or by level.


Can I control who can generate a PO?
Yes. Each user gets a unique username and password and their profile is set up by the administrator. There are a large number of combinations of access, including Purchase Requisition, Purchase Approval, Delivery Address lock down, Department lock down, visibility of information, Goods Inwards Reconciliation, Supplier Invoice Reconciliation and many others. The administrator can set up an individual or a level of individuals with any combination of rules suitable to your business needs.


How many users can I have on PurchaseControl.com at any one time?
Each user has an individual licence for security and budgeting purposes. All of those users can be on the system at any time.
